Venues

The University of Hull is about two miles north of the City Centre, on Cottingham Road (B1233), off Beverley Road (A1079). It offers a tranquil campus environment with easily accessible and safe free parking. An ideal venue for our concerts.

For Satnav users: for Middleton Hall we suggest putting in HU5 2EG, which is for the Old Grey Mare pub – Middleton Hall is across the road from there, inside the main gates of the University.

Alternatively, HU6 7SX is the postcode for Salmon Grove, a street with a large car park off it, around the corner from Middleton Hall.

The University’s postcode is HU6 7RX. This takes you to the Wilberforce Car park via the North Entrance, further from Middleton Hall than the other two suggestions.

Middleton Hall

The Middleton Hall, refurbished in 2016, is a modern well-equipped hall seating 400. It faces you as you enter the University by the main entrance (opposite the Old Grey Mare Hotel). The hall has excellent acoustics and sightlines. Refreshments are available prior to concerts and during intervals should the event have one.

Ticket seating will be by reservation only, so we can ensure appropriate seating is available for your party, and maintain social distancing guidelines.

The hall has good disabled access, with Blue Badge parking outside, a lift from street level to the all areas and plenty of step free seating in the auditorium. There are 4 wheelchair spaces at the rear of the auditorium; if you have a disability, please let us know when booking so that an appropriate seat can be reserved for you.

Parking on campus is free, and unrestricted after 4pm weekdays and anytime at weekends.

During Covid-19 restrictions there will be additional health and safety information published on this website and communicated to all ticket holders. This will be kept up to date, in line with the government guidance available at the time.
