New booking procedures

We have this year introduced a new ticket booking system including, for the first time, booking online. There are three ways of booking:

Booking online (preferred) from
By email:
By phone: 01482 465998

The Culture Net website is owned by the University of Hull. It shows all forthcoming events at the university including our concerts and offers an online booking facilty. You can even choose your seats.

If you use the above email address or phone number, your enquiry will be dealt with by staff in the office of the University's Faculty of Arts and Education (FACE). We are very grateful that they are willing to help, but please remember that processing tickets for HCM is not their 'day' job. We would ask you to use online booking if possible.

Members' seat allocation
Some members have told us they are unhappy with the supposed ‘temporary’ seats they were given for the first concert, when the number of University guests restricted choice, which the computer then turned into season-long allocations. We intended to change them later, but doing so has proved to be very difficult and time consuming.

Depending on the scale of demand, we may be able to change your seat on a concert by concert basis. If you go to the desk in the foyer before a concert, we will show you the seating plan and you may be able to choose another seat then for that concert.

Hull Chamber Music 2016-17:
A Year of Celebration!

Hull Chamber Music is absolutely delighted to collaborate with the University of Hull in the re-opening of the Middleton Hall, following its £9.5 million refurbishment, with a spell-binding programme from the Royal Northern Sinfonia. The season continues with iconic soprano and pianist Sarah Fox and Malcolm Martineau OBE, and a mixed programme by pianist Mishka Rushdie Momen.

We are thrilled to be working with Hull UK City of Culture 2017 to present our concerts as part of the city-wide programme, and are delighted that violinist Fenella Humphreys and pianist Libby Burgess will open our Spring season. Leading wind quintet the New London Chamber Ensemble provide a new take on Mozart in our second spring concert, and the season closes with the return of the Berkeley Ensemble, joined by acclaimed mezzo soprano Anna Huntley and harpist Fontaine Liang.

What your support means to us

Despite challenging economic times, we have worked hard to ensure that you will enjoy a wonderful range of music and musicians. The quality of each concert is something in which Hull Chamber Music – and the wider musical community of Hull – can take great pride. We’ve also held our ticket prices for another year, making the season ticket one of the best musical bargains for miles around. Hull Chamber Music is entering a new phase of opportunities and challenges. We are so grateful to our members, Friends, Patrons and audiences, whose support is invaluable to us. Now, more than ever, we ask for the help of music-lovers to continue to attract internationally-renowned performers to Hull, raising the profile of chamber music in the region. Your continued support is central to all our events, and there are several ways in which you can show it. In addition to buying a season ticket you can join or renew your membership of the Friends and Patrons of HCM, and come to our fund-raising events. And please spread the word and encourage your friends to join us too!

We look forward to seeing you.
